Green Lantern；青灯笼？

In brightest day, in blackest night,
no evil shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's Light!!!

上个星期，考完最后一张致命的数学后，二话不说就跑到戏院看了一部刚上映的电影，Green Lantern，顾名思义应该是《青灯笼》，上网看了wikipedia，才发现原来是《绿灯侠》。哈哈，凡是真的不可以单单看表面，英文也不可随便用谷歌翻译的逻辑翻译成华语！

整部电影还不错，至少让我们对超人、英雄的认识不再仅仅只是Superman，Batman，Spiderman等等经典的角色。故事，还是要自己去看比较有惊喜。说出来，就没有新鲜感了。

不过，在此要说说的是这位绿灯侠的超能力的特别之处。通常我们说见的超人，蝙蝠侠，蜘蛛人，罗宾侠等等都是发自本身、天生的特异功能。然，绿灯侠的特异功能正恰恰相反，他的特异功能不是发自本身，而是要戴上一枚戒指才能发挥特异能力。不仅如此，戴上戒指后，若没有足够的意志力，也是于事无补。倘若佩戴者在面对困境时产生恐惧，那么戒指不但失去功效，佩戴戒指的绿灯侠还会因此而被敌人吞噬其灵魂。

其实，对这部电影有感而发的是人生岂不是如此？有人说 “没有天生的笨蛋，只有后天的蠢材”。世上没有人初出娘胎就是一名天才，你有看过一名刚出生的婴孩会对你说话吗？若有的话，那你应该。。。是见鬼啦！就与绿灯侠一样，没有与生俱来的超能力，只有借助戒指的能力下，在加上自己的意志力才可发挥所长。

在电影里，绿灯侠因为一度因面对恐惧而失去了意志力，变得手无缚鸡之力的平凡地球人。人岂非如此呢？我们在生活里常常面对以些困境而产生恐惧，失去了面对困难的意志力，往往就因此而被这些困难击败了。

本以为这只是一部普普通通的科幻片罢了。却对这部电影发了这些奇想。是不是 “少年不识愁滋味，为赋新词强说愁” 呢？哈哈哈。还没看的人就去看吧，说真的，还不错，几好笑一下的lor！

Ultimate Gathering

Ultimate gathering is not going to be ultimate. We gonna have more to come in future =)

That was about 3 weeks ago, Boon and me suddenly come up with an idea of organizing a gathering for all our secondary pals before everyone starts their school, be it Form 6 or college, we should gather and have fun before continue our path to better future.

There're so many options at first and in the end, we tried out something new, Apartment Stay =) Boon found a great deal online, it's a 3-rooms apartment at Batu Ferringhi. Special thanks to Shi Chyi who had helped out a lots during preparation, especially he drove me and boon to Batu Feringghi to see the environment of apartment!

During the preparation, I admitted, we encountered lots of problems. Like costs, transportation, equipments, number of people attending, so on and so forth. Though, it all comes to a beautiful full stop in the end! I think this is what chinese quote said " 船到桥头自然直 " .

Sunset. My first time to observe the complete sunset on the beach. It was an impressive experience. 

Now I know Penang beach can be attracting and nice somehow. 

When the darkness slowly engulfed the sky, we lighted up the candles...Romantic huh? 

LOL. got 3 candles and 4 of us sit around and chat. we sang along with some musics play on my phone. 

Jolene har and me even danced on the song "higher" ! We were so high weh xD

After barbeque and makan-makan all the night. Finally went back to the apartment, cleaned up myself from sands! We took group photos! :) Imagine how long we struggled for this group photo? 20 minutes! 

Lol. we're more GENG than those pop stars, hehe.

Then we chatted for a while with some recent issues and talking about our plans, so on and so forth. And guess what? There're 3 girls besides me who are so brave enough to talk about ghost stories on the bed .... I didn't joined them though, I'm afraid of ghosts! Zhia Liee, Pipi, Jo~ salute to you guys. Hehe..but i did heard some screams :)

I mentioned right? It's an apartment comes with 3 bedrooms.. but ended up 10 of us slept in the living room! It was FUN! GO read Jolene's blog  if you wanna know what happened :)

Initially we were planning to wake up at 4.30 and go to beach to see sunrise. End of the story is,  none of us can wake up but sleep like a pig. We only able to enjoy the cold breeze on beach at 6.30 but not able to observe the sunrise.. whatever, we still sleepy!

Back to apartment, we found nothing to eat as breakfast. Guess what? we played poker cards as our energy sustain tools. LOL. For the very first time, I won in CHOR DAI D! Yay!!!!! :D Later on, checked out and went gurney for lunch before bidding goodbye to each other.

Bidding farewell isn't hard, but it's hard when you realized all of us are not going to study in the same classroom anymore, everything has changed as the time move on. Some are leaving, some are staying, in 2 years time, all us us will still seperate. Thus, the moments we can gather should be cherished and enjoy every second of it. Good luck and all the best to my pals. Today we graduate, tomorrow we conquer the world! I shall see all of you again in future. 

*someone: aiya... Terance say December gathering again laaa, dun think so far laaa.... LOL...

Satu Malaysia Education System?

Satu Malaysia, "Rakyat didahulukan, Pencapaian diutamakan".*wth?

The so called 1Malaysia slogon, introduced by our PM Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak, we have heard about it hundreds, thousands, or even millions time from various media sources, such as television, especially those national channels such as Tv1,2,3 (you and me know it well) and also radio, newspapers, so on and so forth. I remember when I was preparing my SPM, my tuition teacher always stressed that these are the "quotes" that we cannot missed out in our karangans, that's why, without any difficulties, I can easily say out those patriotism slogans and one more thing you couldn't believe, I memorize some Al-Quran verses as well. :) *why? think about it!

so, what do 1Malaysia concept do with our country's education system? Hmm, 1Malaysia, obviously emphasizing harmony and unity between the poeple of the nation. Though I oftenly heard the politicians shouting "1Malaysia" like nobody's business, the things they do and decisions made by the Ministries showed that that slogan after all is just a slogan, none of the concepts had applied into whatever they do and one of the impressive one is out education system. 

Let's review one of the article I read in The Sun couple days ago, regarding " the standards of SPM chinese paper". Sit back and stay calm, you couldn't believe that the chinese paper we took last year , let me make it clearer, 2010 SPM Chinese Paper was actually of STPM standard. *WHAT THE HELL and I guess the Jabatan Peperiksaan is too lazy, they even take the exact question from the STPM paper set 10 years ago! 

For those who study in chinese secondary schools or for those who are not, we all know that the topic of Chinese is the hardest subject to get an A+ or even an A in SPM. It's not surprising cause it's already an old story since long long long long time ago. The percentage of scoring A+ in Chinese is very low, and I remembered there was a news that a gang of students made report to their principal that they don't want to sit for SPM chinese paper as they afraid that particular subject will affects their overall results. How shameful but it's not all their faults, but who else? Yes, the education system we have in Malaysia. 

With 1Malaysia concept, I suppose our government should make a change in SPM chinese paper, which is extremely hard to score an A+, what's more when the questions is set beyond the international levels? while I don't think we have that many of good or beyond 'levels' Chinese teachers who can guide our students to ace such "HIGH" standard paper. Perhaps there're, but not many, a handful of them :)

"Sigh" is the only word I can express and end this very random post. Something should be done, to have a brighter and better future for our young generation. As my former english teacher said " kulitfication" should be abolish in our country and make the 1Malaysia applied but not only a slogan to shout!

* to the representative of M'sia chinese students, MCA, do something =) don't "JLB" lol!

My piece of thought on 5S1

It's time to say goodbye but it's hard to say goodbye

Tomorrow, in less than 10 hours time, I'm leaving to Perak for my National Service! Though I will be back in Penang for Chinese New Year, still I feel hard to leave my hometown, family and friends.

People comes and leave in our life. Few months back, or few weeks ago, the mates in 5S1 were still sitting for SPM examinations but now, we gonna seperate and leave where we were belongs to, Penang. Some of us are going National Service like me, some went to further their studies in other state that is far away from Penang and also overseas, too!

You know how does it feels? It's like we just gathered yesterday and today we gonna bid farewell to each other. Time flies, really, and we wouldn't know what's awaiting us though God will prepare the best pathway. We will never know what's the date to gather again after we leave, maybe 10 years, maybe 20 years.....

Anyway,I sincerely wish every 5S1 mates all the best in future! Gathering will be held one day, or very soon! I believe it's not a dream if we say we gonna conquer the world one day!

Nostalgic photos

Time flies.No one can stop the time from flowing but treasure every moment in your life. :)

It has been a long time since I checked my desktop hard disk. I don't know why, I was doing some designs, come on, what kind of design is that? Alright, some CHANGES on my blog as shown. Suddenly, I just feel like click on "My Computer" "Local Disk D" and finally viewing through the photos I saved like centuries ago.

By scanning through hundreds of photos, I found that how time flies in our life. I was a form 1 newbies yesterday, but now I'm graduated from high school, finished my SPM, going to National Service, furthering my studies in tertiary education.Well,would you like to see my "pathway" of growing? Physically? Outfits? Spiritual?


Eh,eh.I just realized I don't have photos for Form 1! Ah, forget about it, I bet you wouldn't like to see how I looked like in Form 1, I was like a nerd. Seriously, super nerdy :p *okay, I have few......do you really wanna see it? okay then......-_-"

Was in Cameron Highlands and seriously like a 12 year-old GINA! Don't laugh!!

Okay, let's move on to form 2.

PMR results was released! Everyone was overjoyed with their flying colors results. Me neither, laughing like a loon! Sweet memories weh!

Finally Specs ON! I think it's not because of Form 4 works but the existence of Facebook! hehe

Okay.I never grew up....since form 1 until form 4.Sigh, how could it be???

OMG,this is even worst.TOTALLY GO BACK TO A KIDDO!!! And I was in face a form 4 student that time. Sigh x100000

And now it comes to FORM 5!

Eh, became so professional? Hehe. Turned to be more mature finally!

Wahahahaha, this brings back so much memories about Graduation Magazine! GANGSTER we are, DAI KA CHE Yifei!

So, what do you think? Did I changed a lot? Physically, i think yes! But mentally,I don't think I changed a lot, yes, my thinking did turned mature and more EMO sometimes. But, I still act childish sometimes. Sigh. Maybe it's the characteristic of Sagittarius? Who knows. :P

Of New Year and National Service (pt 1)

"4,3,2,1" Yay,bid farewell to 2010 and let us welcome 2011!

Yes, yes. After 3 days of celebrating Christmas eve, Christmas and Boxing Day, now everyone starts counting down for the arrival of new year! *Just in case you don't know what is "boxing day" ,check it out here!

Well, while everyone is counting down the arrival of another brand new year joyfully. I'm alone, with some mates waiting the DAY to come. Oh yes, you guess it so right, the day that we gotta report ourselves to our own camp under National Service, or PLKN (Program Latihan Khidmat Negara).

The story began few months ago.I couldn't remember who was that fella who sms-ed or facebook-ed me and told me the namelist of National Service is out! Without any hesitation, i grabbed my mobile phone and started typing my IC number and sending out to PLKN insanely. However, the more you urged to know, the longer you wait for reply. After like 2-3 days,duh, you guys know how efficient is Malaysia government department, I finally got the reply! Something irony is they sent me a "TANIAH",sometimes the word congrats might not be a good sign.I was on the way to Nilai for a competition but I was doomed by that news, I HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO GO NATIONAL SERVICE!!! What on earth is going on?!

Oh, whatever, that's fate,let just accept it. So, few months passed... By the time I was about to finish my SPM,another list of National Service released, again! I checked on the net,found out I'm in the first batch,Kem Terkok in Sg.Siput, Perak! I don't know whether shall I feel glad for myself as first batch has more extra holidays for CNY and so on. Nor shall I feel not-so-lucky? Like, if I'm in second batch, I can go working as part time, earn some pocket money, buy some gadgets that I never had.....so on and so forth.

Oh well, I accepted my fate again. Haha, you know, be optimistic always and I believe it wasn't that bad after all. At least I have time to go applying some scholarships and so on after my National Service and release of SPM results.

Anyway, 4 days until New Year. 7 days until I'm leaving to National Service.

Wish me luck and I will be back! :)
